European Chapter
Starting Point: Born in Moscow, I moved to Saarbruecken, Germany, in 2005, with only ten words of German.
Education: Despite the language barrier, I earned my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Business Administration, specializing in Finance and Statistics, at the University of Saarland (2005-2010).
Career Beginnings: My career kicked off in Germany at the European Retail Academy (ERA) and EHI Retail Institute in Cologne, where I interned in the summer of 2006.
Volunteering: I further volunteered at the ERA from 2006 to 2023 under the guidance of Prof. Bernd Hallier (RIP).
Travel: I backpacked across Europe, building lifelong memories and connections.
Middle East Chapter
Internship in Dubai: In the spring of 2008, I had the incredible opportunity to complete a market research internship in Dubai.
A Turning Point: Before coming to Dubai, I had spent three years in Germany, but something felt missing. It all changed when I arrived in this vibrant, international city. Dubai was booming and full of energy and life, and it opened my mind to new possibilities and perspectives.
New Experiences: Dubai offers countless opportunities to explore and try new things. I went dune bashing in jeeps, dove with sharks, tasted incredible food from around the world, and shopped at local markets for unique clothing and spices.
Cultural Immersion: I discovered the magic of living in a city filled with expats and people from all walks of life, all bringing their own energy and stories.
Asian Chapter
Move to Hong Kong: In 2010, I relocated to Hong Kong as a Risk Executive for a German financial services company.
Cultural Hub: Hong Kong's vibrant environment allowed me to connect with people from over 40 countries and explore destinations like Thailand, China, Indonesia, Singapore, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
South American Chapter
Relocation to Mexico: In 2012, I moved to Mexico and spent a year living on the beach with my future husband while building an export business.
Travel: We traveled extensively, visiting Peru, Canada, and the USA.
Education: I earned my Ph.D. in Knowledge Management in 2018 after four years of bilingual qualitative research.
Professional Growth: My strategic optimization and business process improvement consulting led me to KPMG US. From June 2020 to June 2024, I led a Knowledge Management team, driving critical KM strategies.
Beach Life: From April 2023 to June 2024, I spent in Cancun and enjoyed a slower pace of life. It has been a transformational year full of learning and new experiences.
North American Chapter
Relocation to Canada: In September 2024, I moved to Canada to pursue my MBA in Vancouver, a city that perfectly balances vibrant urban life with breathtaking natural surroundings.
Professional Role: I currently work as a research assistant at my university, which is an incredible opportunity to develop skills that will benefit me academically and professionally.
Living in Vancouver: We’re just minutes away from rivers, mountains, and opportunities for skiing and kayaking, while also enjoying the energy of a bustling city with its towering skyscrapers.
Cultural Immersion: Being in an English-speaking country feels natural after years of working in the U.S., listening to audiobooks and watching movies in English, and honing my writing skills.
